This is the post that you can forward to all of the people in your life who need a last minute gift idea that will still bless you on our beloved day.
Items that are always fun and on her Mother’s Day list
These things aren’t revolutionary, but will help her feel seen and excited this Mother’s Day. I love this popsocket for the mom that has a good sense of humor. Might go over better coming from a girlfriend tho ;).
Find me a woman who doesn’t want her spaces and home to smell good. I’m loving this diffuser right now, and think your girl will too.
For the book lover
My nightstand, side tables, and tote bag, are literally always stacked with books that I am reading, or want to read. For sure there is just not enough time in the day to get through them all. If I had to choose one that should go straight to the top of the pile though, Michelle Obama’s book is for sure it. This is also one that will be a regular in my re-read pile, and this one and this one are on my list.
For the cozy wine lover
Okay fine, you caught me, this is a shameless plug. My snarky, sarcastic line of T-shirts and sweatshirts on Amazon most definitely made the cut. And frankly, at this point, I can’t have enough crewneck sweatshirts as they are literally my daily uniform, so this one is a natural next for my closet this spring and summer.
Give the gift of pampering: DryBar
If your mom, or the mom in your life, is anything like me, then getting ready every day is the bane of her existence. The only problem is that being ready also helps with her confidence and overall feeling of productivity for the day. I’m for sure a believer in the look good, feel good philosophy.
Give your girl a few days off from slaving over her vanity, blow drying her hair and attempting to get the perfect beachy waves. A Dry Bar e-gift card is a TOTAL treat and she’ll love it. Or if you’re feeling extra generous, combine Mother’s Day, her birthday, anniversary, whatever and gift her a monthly membership for some serious guaranteed good hair days. Trust me, nothing is sexier than confidence, and a good hair day is your ticket! (This is not available on Amazon, but is via e-gift card so it meets our last minute gift requirement – don’t worry, I got you!)
Mommy Needs Some Quiet Time
I have a universal sign in my house that mommy is off duty: my wireless headphones. When my headphones go on, that is the signal to my kids that I am not to be bugged for a set period of time. Podcasts, music, or even just silence – it don’t matter. Headphones are a must for any mom. The way I see it, you’ve got two options – the fancy ones (on my wishlist) or the cheap knock-offs that do the job as well. I think mom will appreciate either.
Still Need Mother’s Day Ideas? This is the ONE gift that will FOR SURE knock her socks off.
Okay you’ve made it this far, and you’re still feeling uninspired for what to give Mom. She doesn’t need new headphones, she doesn’t like wine, and her hair takes literally 4 minutes to do every morning. No prob – I’ve got the answer!
Literally the most perfect gift that you could possibly get ANY mom is the gift of time. Young moms want a day off. Veteran moms just want time with their kids, with no activities (funny how that cycle changes as we get older). You don’t even need Amazon Prime to purchase that – you simply GIVE it. Time is the gift that keeps on giving. Whatever her desired use of that time is, give her that. Have the kids draft it up on a cute certificate that says, “One Day Off for Mommy”. I promise she’ll swoon and feel so appreciated. No strings attached, give her the gift of time.
