Ugh, what should I wear?
The worst (and most privileged) feeling is standing in front of your closet that is FULL of clothes and feeling like you have NOTHING to wear.
I’ve put together a couple of my favorite go-to outfits that will hopefully inspire you, and help you SHOP YOUR CLOSET FIRST, so that you can look good and feel good for the upcoming events that you have this holiday season.
I am a firm believer that you need not BREAK THE BANK in order to achieve a put-together look – you most likely already have 90% of the things that you need in your wardrobe! You might just need a little help thinking outside of the box and putting things together that you wouldn’t normally think would work.
Outfit #1: Plaid Shirt + White Tulle Skirt
I have owned this white tulle skirt for about 4 years now (originally from Gray Monroe), and I’m obsessed with it every time I put it on. Nothing makes me feel more magical than donning a skirt to twirl in.
I pieced together a red plaid shirt that was last season from Target, my blingy J.Crew necklace that looks way fancier than the price tag, and my white tulle skirt with some black heeled booties. I’d be willing to bet you had most all of those things already in your closet (minus maybe the tulle skirt). Voila – you’re set for party #1!
Outfit #2: Cozy Turtleneck and White Tulle Skirt
This one is a little less Leave It To Beaver Housewife (although I do love me a good popped collar), and is for the occasions where you might want to present a little more cozy with a little sass.
I just picked up this oversized mock neck turtleneck that I’m literally OBSESSED with from LifeStyledCo while I was there over Thanksgiving. Do a little front tuck on that white tulle skirt along with some fun animal print booties for the sass; throw on a Santa hat (for play) or some red lips and you’re good to go!
Hopefully that helps give you a little inspiration! I’ll be back with more outfit ideas later this week.
